- Rotary potentiometers are shaft encoder for one-dimensional measurements.
A rotating individual part
which is connected with the shaft produces an electric signal on
a static element. The electric signal is proportional to the rotation. The rotary potentiometer is
a checking device based on a potentiometric measurement technology.
